Mr. Dikgang Motsepe (Managing Member)

Dikgang Motsepe has gained experience in the fields of financial markets and development economics. He holds a Bcom, Bcom(Hons) in economics both from the University of Cape Town, and a Masters in Development Finance from the University of Stellenbosch. He has published a working paper for the Africa Research Centre and writes policy briefs on development issues. Mr. Mostsepe has worked as an economist for:
South African Reserve Bank – market economist
NEPAD Secretariat in the Office of Prof. Wiseman Nkuhlu – the economic advisor to President T.M. Mbeki at the time
Business Trust as programme manager / economist focusing on community investment and tourism enterprise development of SMMEs
Currently a Senior Lecturer at Wits University Public and Development management School

Andrew Mosae

Andrew Mosae is a finance, treasury and risk management practitioner with utmost passion for training, skills transfer and capacity building. He is currently a part-time Senior Lecturer at Wits Business School (WBS) and University of Pretoria (Continuing Education), and also a Tutor (Financial & Risk Management Faculty) at the Business School Netherlands (BSN) – an international market leader in the provision of Action Learning MBA programmes. Andrew is a striving entrepreneur having established and grown small business ventures in different industries including ICT, entertainment, properties, hospitality, transport and financial services within the SADC region. He is the Founder of LEHAHA Corporation and currently Principal / Chief Executive at LEHAHA INSTITUTE. Before then, he held several senior positions including Managing Executive – Riskflow Institute; Executive Director – Zambezi Capital; Senior Advisor: Asset-Liability Management – Decillion Limited, and Senior Risk Manager – Land and Agricultural Development Bank.

Andrew is a Certified Financial Risk Manager (FRM®, USA) and holds an M.Com (Financial Engineering), B.Com Hons (Quantitative Risk Management), ACCA (UK), CICM (UK) and B.A. (Finance & Economics). Furthermore, he is completing a Doctorate Degree focusing on Sovereign Risk Management for Emerging Markets. As contribution to the risk management profession, Andrew is currently serving as an Executive Committee Member for the Southern Africa Chapter of GARP (Global Association of Risk Professionals).

Justin Mthembu

Justin Mthembu has an extensive career in business and media. In the 12 year periodfrom 1988 to 2000, he worked for critically acclaimed international media agencies including the BBC,CNN, SKY News, Reuters, and the Associated Press, where he gained tremendous insights into the socio-political economy and at the same time building contacts with leaders in government and business in Africa. He held various roles in news production – reporter, director, producer, and editor.

Amongst his areas of experience are projects in infrastructure development, mining and commodities, as well as transportation and logistics. A skilled negotiator, his principal value proposition is to unlock opportunities by bringing together counterparties with assets and capital on the one hand, and access to markets on the other. Justin is a managing member of Desert Charm, focusing on developing the capacity and footprint of transportation logistics interests in the mining and commodities sector. Justin Professional Certificate in Public Management obtained in 2007 from Wits P&DM.

Dr Kambidima Wotela

Dr.Watela is a lecturer as the Wits School of Public and Development Management, focusing on monitoring & evaluation systems, survey design, management, analysis & reporting, and quantitative methods including ethnological demography.

Dr.Watela holds the following degrees:

BA Demography (University of Zambia)
MSc Population Studies (University of Zimbabwe)
PhD Demography (UCT)

Dr.Watela is part of the Wits School of Public and Development Management monitoring and evaluation project, which is working with the World Bank to implement the CLEAR project on the continent. He was part of the team that worked on the assessment of the effectiveness of the EPWP infrastructure incentive model.
